Confirmation 1 and 2 is a process in which teens are prepared for lifelong discipleship and to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. This process occurs in small groups of young men or young women of 6-8 teens with 2-3 mentors who facilitate and support the teens in the group to explore and learn about their faith and develop HABITS of life-long discipleship.
Confirmation 1 (Evangelization)
Confirmation 1is for freshman in high school and is comprised of a variety of modules that explore the call to discipleship, who is God, the nature of what it is to be a man or woman, living a life of virtue, and Theology of the Body. Completion of the Confirmation 1 curriculum is a prerequisite (required) before applying for and then participating in Confirmation II.
Confirmation 1 Small Group Sessions have begun for 2019-2020!
Confirmation 1 Small Groups meet on Mondays, from 5:45-7:30pm.
To participate, simply register in the RE office on Monday night before small groups, or during RE Office hours during the week.
Confirmation 2 (Discipleship)
Confirmation 2 is only for those preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Applications for Confirmation 2 are made available in the spring for all those who have completed Confirmation 1.
Confirmation 2 sessions for 2019-2020 have begun!
Candidates need to have done/be doing the following to be enrolled in Confiramtion 2:
1) Turn in a Confirmation 2 Applications
2) Be attending monthly Confirmation 2 sessions (see calendat below)
3) Be attending either Wed night or Sun afternoon Family Catechesis with their families
4) Meet monthly with their sponsor and complete the Candidate-Sponsor Activities as assigned
